Men at work benchesThe PAE Package/Product Test Lab has served the Kodak community for over 50 years. The Lab is ISO 17025 compliant and ISTA Certified. Our ISTA Certified Technicians and state-of-the-art facility provide testing capabilities for:
  • Vibration - Sine & Random, 3 Axis, 2 - 3,000 Hz input.
  • Horizontal Impacts - Programmable shock pulses.
  • Compression - Static & Dynamic, 30,000 lb. load capability.
  • Drop Test Systems - Programmable controller, 1,500 lb. max load.


Environmental Conditioning

Capabilities

Packaging MachinesEnvironmental conditioning and thermal cycling is a tool used by product development engineers to determine material stability under varying temperatures and humidity. UV chamber uses a Xenon Arc light source to simulate natural sunlight in an accelerated manner.
  • Temperature and RH Conditioning - -40C to 180C, 10% to 95% RH.
  • 5 Chambers - Sizes ranging from 8 cu. ft. to Drive-in: 20' x 12' x 10'.
  • Atlas Weather - Ometer: UV exposure chamber
    equipped with a 4500W Xenon Arc Lamp.


Product Fragility Assessment

Packaging Machines The product fragility assessment lab is an excellent resource that provides shock and vibration testing used to determine robustness of various products or sub-assemblies. These tests are used to evaluate the fragility of products or sub-assemblies early in the product development cycle to design more durable products.
  • Shock Testing - Shock Testing per ASTM D-3332. Half Sine and Trapezoidal shaped pulses.
  • Vibration Testing - Vibration testing per ASTM D 999 and D 4728.
  • High Frequency Vibration Testing - High frequency
    vibration testing up to 3000 Hz.
